Wilbur & Orville Wright--Transportation
The Wright brothers are known as the founders of aviation, following their first successful 12 second flight in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. This short flight on December 17, 1903, would begin a whole new era in human history--the age of flight.

George Washington Carver--Agricultural Science
George Washington Carver was a famous African American chemist, who discovered hundreds of ways to use agricultural products. He was especially famous for his invention involving peanuts. Farmers loved Carver's work, because he taught them farming techniques to get better crops without spending more money. Find more about Carver here. Thomas Edison--Electricity
Thomas Edison was a famous inventor who was granted more than 1,000 patents in his lifetime. His most famous invention was of the electric lightbulb.
